Few things in life can be more satisfying than leaving one's mark on an organization that is making a real difference in the community. SPIRIT Center is just such a place. Here, through our cooperative self-help program individuals are becoming empowered to lead productive lives. Hopes and dreams become a reality. From our humble beginnings as a phone support program for Nevada County Behavioral Health in 1997, to our transformation to independence as a Public Benefit, Non-profit corporation 501 (3) (c) in 2003, our effort has developed into a model program. SPIRIT Center has always relied on the support of people who believe in helping others.
