WHAT PEERS SAY ABOUT SPIRIT!
“Empowerment for me has meant going beyond what my physical body was telling me. My body felt too depressed and heavy to move. My mind was telling me I can’t. Despite all my fears, empowerment has meant to me, that I can! I started moving into a world of “I Can” one step at a time, loosening and breaking the chains that have kept me mentally and emotionally bound.” - Dwight “Digger” Daniels
“I felt lost without “purpose” when I came to Grass Valley. I had come a long way in my therapy. I was able to make changes in my social skills. I had stopped living from crisis to crisis, with less need for hospitalization. I had no way to put my life into purpose, I felt empty. My more healthy psychology needed to be shared. Then along came SPIRIT! I found myself loved. I found myself loving. I started cooking on Saturdays and people liked it and they got into cooking too. Now, I am co-facilitating a group as well! Wow! I have purpose! Thank God for SPIRIT Empowerment Center! THANKS TO YOU ALL!”-Adama Wise
